How to split trip expenses with friends (without arguing)

1. Create one group for the whole trip

Add everyone who is travelling before you leave. Put flights, stays, food and activities in the same group so the final balances cover everything, and set the group currency to where you are going.

2. Pick the right way to split each cost

Equally for shared meals, fuel and the apartment.
By shares when someone stays fewer nights, for example 3 shares against 5.
Exact amounts when people ordered different things.
Leave people out of costs they did not share, like a solo activity.
